Hey Shug

And I’m back. 2015 was a big one, I have to tell you. In July, I got engaged! In August, we went to Palm Springs. In September, I got a steady food photography gig. In October, one of my best friends in the whole wide world got married to an amazing man. And November? I visited Gabriel’s home town and country of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico.

It’s been a journey for sure, but jeez I’ve missed the creativity of running a blog. I’ve come back with a new name, and I’ll tell you about it while I sit here chowing down on some artichoke.

In planning my wedding, I studied up on my upbringing; how to be a southern bride, how to keep good etiquette in while planning a wedding, and how to dress like a southern belle. To my surprise, I really enjoyed it! It made me start appreciating the fact that every time I saw my mama, she said, “Hey Shug”. Or how when I maybe had a little too much to drink my southern accent came back in full swing, although embarrassing, it’s quite cool.

I’m really excited to share everything that’s happened in the last 8 months, because of course I’ve taken photos. But I’m also really excited to share recipes that I’ve been working on, as well as document the planning of my wedding in FRANCE, and my journey to CULINARY SCHOOL!
