Fontanile, Province of Asti, Italy

Back in wine country we followed the church bells and ended up in Fontanile. Just a three minute drive from our hotel, the town had rows of windows with their famously charming forest green shutters, and Italian flags hanging from each building. As we walked the streets, though, we couldn’t help but feel like we were the only ones in that little town tucked into the vineyards.
