Today marks the One Year Anniversary of Gabriel and I getting engaged. Now don’t worry, I won’t be that girl that posts, and reminds everyone of my engagement anniversary every year, but let’s face it, I’m a celebrator. I look for any reason to fill a glass and toast to fun, and happiness.
Since I hardly shared my engagement story, I figured I could give this amazing day one last hoorah before I cast it aside for our Wedding Anniversary. Plus, If you know me, you’ll know that I’m very hard to surprise, so when I was completely blind sided by a pretty diamond, I was pretty impressed.
Gabe was leaving on a business trip, so we both took the day off, collected a big basket of treats for a picnic, picked up my dog, and drove up north to the beach. Upon arrival, we found a good little nook, he pulled out the blanket while I made up a cheese board and poured some margaritas. We sat, and laughed. We talked about our future, and threw the ball for Tucker. It seemed like a regular day off, until I looked over, and there he was holding a box in his hand, calling me by my full name, and asking me to be his wife.
I said yes, we laughed, and hard for a good two minutes straight about the fact that we were fiance’s. It was the most relaxed, perfect day.
