I had been dying to step foot in Portofino, known for its pastel homes, and cobblestone square that sits right on the water. So while staying in Piedmont, we drove down for a day trip on the Italian Riviera. It was just as I had pictured it, and we were completely taken aback by the romanticism of it all.
We sat at a table right on the water, and had amazing seafood salads and pasta, and listened to the water crash up against the side of the walkway. After we, of course, got a scoop of gelato and set out for a little walk around town.
